Getting Famous!

Our Podcast Like A Pro classes got a great mention in Icon in the Sydney Morning Herald today:

And bookings have already come in for the next class after the story, as well as more hits on the Wellspring Podcasting website.

Thanks Nick Galvin for a good factual timely story. People are obviously very interested now.

We graduated our second podcasting class last week, and are planning how to videocast classes, now. But we're looking for someone who'd like to be the star of our own videocasts.

Kristen Lowe who was in the last class, also jumped on the Icon story in her blog.

The Art of Living on CNN

Richard Quest, a business journalist who went from the BBC to CNN, has now embarked on an eponymous TV series that involves him in a Quest for the spiritual.

It's mostly recorded beside the Hawkesbury River.

We investigate why you seem to become more mellow as you get older. Sydney University brain scan research shows that older people deal better with life's ups and downs.

We also have a think about the fad to trace your ancestry back to famous people in history, thanks to DNA traces.

And we consider why those with lower self esteem seem to be more positive and negative about the people they're in close relationships with.

WellSpring episode 42

Over at the WellSpring I've been getting into more mini meditations. This episode we take a guided trip in a balloon, dropping concerns over the side like sandbags.

We also have a bit of a think about how old life is on earth (almost 4 billion years now, it's claimed) and contemplate what that means for we humans.

We also take another lesson from Robert Fritz's book The Path of Least Resistance. This time on how to make creativity part of your life.

Limin Mao joins us for science news - including the latest research on antibiotics from the BMJ, and a vaccine against nicotine.

It's been wet in Sydney, three days in a row. After months of dry weather its a lovely change to be caught short and have to buy a cheap umbrella in Chinatown. The Harbour looked especially nice, wet.
